Seedstars Cape Town
Last night Seedstars World came to Cape Town to select promising start-ups to compete at the national stage. Of the numerous local applicants, Jumpin Rides was invited to pitch at the event.
The Jumpin Rides pitch and vision stole the show with an overwhelming win of the public vote. The vote was held on Twitter which erupted with the #SSWCT and #jumpinrides hashtags even trending for Cape Town. As the winner, Jump In Rides has become exclusive members of the worldwide Seedspace network, with access to numerous co-working spaces.
Managing Director Pauline du Paty commented “While we are a little disappointed this remained a great opportunity for us, it’s always positive to meet new people and pitch a project we’re passionate about. We’re thankful for the support of all the people who voted for Jump In Rides!”
Next Steps
As we mentioned on stage, Jumpin Rides is currently raising R2.5m for an 18 month runway. This round is to further develop the platform by integrating online payment, building an app and further deploy the aggressive customer acquisition strategy.
